For this project, I was allocated the text, The Mind and Dying of Me Punch. At first I struggled with ideas for thumbnails, as I wasn't too sure on how literal I should the take the text, however I did eventually start to put down some ideas. To try and capture a feeling of claustrophobia, I had many of my drawings in these very dark scenes that seem also most on the verge of being engulfed by the darkness. This also relates to the text and how Punch is forced into this darkness, and is even referred to wrapping himself up within it. The colour red also appears multiple times throughout my thumbnails because Punch is well known for wearing a red tunic, but also because red is associated with anger and violence, as well as the blood punch spills in the poem.
